About Us

New England Wound specializes in the evaluation and treatment of chronic and non-healing wounds. Through this partnership, Connecticut Orthopaedics patients now have direct access to wound care specialists who focus on this area of medicine every day — using an individualized approach to diagnose the cause of a wound, not just treat its symptoms. Dr. Thomas Zumbaugh DPM, AACFAS, FAPWH

Dr. Thomas A. Zumbaugh is a board-qualified podiatric surgeon specializing in complex lower extremity limb preservation, wound care, and surgical reconstruction of chronic wounds and traumatic soft tissue injuries. He currently serves as Medical Director for New England Wound, an advanced service line under Connecticut Orthopaedics, where he provides surgical and office-based lower extremity wound care across Connecticut.
